PING G400 irons had a sole that I was immediately struck by. I expected a widesole after having reviewed many GI or SGI irons. It was actually quite the opposite. The sole of the G400, in particular in longer irons is moderately large and made to seem even smaller. This set shows great attention to detail.

Address was equally impressed by the thinness of the top line. The top line isn’t as thin as I would like, but it’s still not too thick. Similar to the Girons, it’s invisible from the address.

One thing that distinguishes PING irons as either GI or SGI are the offsets. Particularly in the long irons, there’s a lot of it, but for the target golfer, that makes sense.

Review of Ping Irons G400

Are you familiar with the Ping Zing 2 irons, Are you familiar with the Ping Zing 2 irons or the Ping Eye 2?

You may be able to recall that Ping invented some of the most innovative golf irons in history. Ping is a proud manufacturer of innovative golf clubs that are affordable for all budgets and skill levels.

Ping G400s irons continue that tradition. Ping considers them game improvement tools, and Ping says even beginners may be able to use the G400s for their higher skills. That’s a pretty bold claim, but in our Ping G400 review we will attempt to find out if that is true.

G400 Iron Set (5-Pw, Uw)

Ping G15’s have been my favourite set for years. Although I was still very happy with how the G15’s worked for me, I felt it was getting time to consider looking for something newer to put in the bag. Ping released these G400s in August 2017.

I had read pretty much every review on them available and made my way down to my local Ping fitter to give them a go. Finding the correct shafts, swing weights lofts, lies and grips took approximately 3 hours. After I was satisfied with the information, I placed my order and paid for it.

The next three weeks passed and I was on the first Tee of my home course. This time, I had regained confidence. A dangerous combination. I got in 22 rounds using the new clubs in Alberta before the season was over. The custom fit, top-quality clubs are a great pleasure.

A 12 handicap makes me a novice golfer. However, I do enjoy these G400’s. They have a much more relaxed feel and feel.

The improvement I see in my game, especially with regulation greens, will be apparent when I review all of my stats for the 2018 season.

Yes.

This is a product I would recommend.

Again you are wrong

They thought all clubs were equal. BUT, WRONG AGAIN. We tried all of them. My late father and I were total club junkies..including repairing and refinishing persimmon clubs etc…After selling off all of our vintage sets I had the opportunity to purchase a really nice set of clubs. Ping G400 won after tests. Not that I am the preeminent tester…just what worked for me. I am one of 18 handicappers who enjoys the game. The G400 driver, SFT 3,5.7, and 400 irons 5LW were my purchases. ( All graphite regular) Also includes a Doon stick. My sister bought me a G400 tour bag from South Korea. I went to the course without any warm-up and scored 83. UNBELIEVABLE. It was the most difficult part of my game ( greens regulation ), that I could not believe. This product is amazing. I don’t have the space to tell everyone how thrilled I am. Pops would be proud of these clubs. I am glad to be wrong!

PURCHASED CHESAPEAKE VA AT GOLF HEIGHTQUARTERS.

Yes.

It is my recommendation.

Disappointing

Ping was a favorite of mine since I first got my g410 drivers. Recently, I started to think about getting Ping Irons. Based on what I’ve heard they are great for support. The G400s finally arrived in May. I was able to see the scratches in the hydropearl after a few rounds. Ping replied that they didn’t mind the look of my G400s, but only about their performance. Yes performance is priority but I think I speak for everyone that they prefer their irons looking decent for at least a couple seasons. It was a very disappointing experience, to put it mildly.

G400 irons have a more natural sound than older Ping irons and perform well in any weather.

All-in-all, the Ping G400s are a solid iron that can add plenty to your game and add a touch of distance without taking away any of the forgiveness.

Comparison of Taylormade M4 irons and Ping G400 irons

Being able to stop a ball on a dime while at the same time getting good distance and forgiveness is pretty much the holy trinity as far as irons go. Manufacturers used to sacrifice one product for the other for quite a long time.

However, technology is increasingly catching up to the desires and needs of today’s golfer. We see more modern irons that boast to be capable on all fronts. We were curious to find out which irons we thought were worthy of our trust and which should not be included in the bag.

We narrowed down our selection to just two sets of irons that we found promising. In today’s review, we are going to be comparing a couple of iron sets that have already distinguished themselves from the rest of the pack to see which one delivers the most performance and value.

Ping G400 Irons Ping have made a name as manufacturers of top-quality game improvement tools. Ping Eye, a revolutionary Ping Eye-equipped G model golf clubs, helped many amateurs achieve their desired handicaps.

Even though the G400s aren’t the latest model, the G700 is a newer offering. It is nevertheless one of their top-performing iron sets. The best thing about the Ping G400 irons? They can play with bat ball flight longer.

The Ping G400 is the set you need to get rid of if you’re tired of looking at your irons from a distance and getting little in terms of ball flight. Because they are high-flying, the Ping G400 can improve your game.
