Ping I500 Irons vs Taylormade P770

The TM P770s were created to fix the control problem with the TM790 irons. The TM P700 irons offer a smaller head profile and generate more spin compared to their predecessor. Ping i500 and TM P700 are very similar in terms of their performance.

Both are great options. We suggest that you test them both to make sure that the right one is for your situation. Both irons will prove to be extremely useful.

Ping I500 Irons Review

This is the best set I have ever bought!

I have been a 20+ years Taylor made loyalist and was going to buy P790 irons… read some reviews on I500 irons and fell in love with the look of the irons… So I finally decided to give the irons a go and went to Ping Sydney Australia for a proper fitting. It was a wonderful experience. Recoil 780/F3 was fitted to me. These shafts have amazing looks! I had been hesitant with G700, but I finally chose I500. They are so beautiful that I couldn’t resist. My trajectory is extremely high, and the distance was only one and half miles. I am so happy!

Yes.

I highly recommend this product.

BUY IT NOW! Our verdict: Hidden inside the sleek blade profile lies a hollow-bodied construction made of a 17-4 Steel body and a C300 steel front that offers what PING calls “metalwood-like” performance. Hydro. Pearl Chrome 2.0 is a finish that ensures you control whether it’s wet or dries.

ClubTester’s 5-hdcp: It just goes on forever. Tough to tell when looking at the profile. “Hides the forgiveness well.”

Robot’s Take: An athlete who is high flying can distance iron better than the group average.

Posted Hello All, Im leaning heavily on ordering some PIng I500 irons.

I was an AP2 player, and now I want something more flexible.

You are looking for long-term real course reviews, not just launch monitor reviews.

I would get a 3 – PW Set more than likely with PX 6.0 and might even grab a pair of glide forged wedges too.

We are grateful

Expert Review: Ping I210 and Ping I500 Irons

Ping has debuted their most recent additions to the Ping family, the Ping i210 and i500 irons. Let’s take a deep dive into each club’s unique construction and performance abilities in our review below.

The insert has a 30% bigger custom tuning port and is filled with a 50% softer elastomer. Ping says the result is 25% more face contact and a smooth feel through impact. With a compact design and minimal offset, the sole and leading edge are now more efficient and provide better turf interaction. The precision-milled grooves on the i210 are machine-like in accuracy and uniformity. In addition, the pitching and U-wedge mimic the Glide2.0 grooves. The scoring irons are more stable because of the sharper edges and closer spacing.

These irons have been designed for professionals and gamers. I do believe that players looking to play with one digit handicaps will enjoy these irons. + to 14 handicaps.

The Ping i210 irons are amazing! From the moment that I saw the address i210s, I felt confident. Hydro-Pearl 2.0 finishes look clean and shiny, while also looking long-lasting. Hydro-Pearl’s finish is complemented by a white bottom that helps align the address.

It gives the toe a boxy look and has a longer, middle-thickness top. Although the sole of the blade is not quite as narrow, it is still sharp and defined. The leading edge also has an almost boxy appearance.

Great feedback and feeling. Everything felt great. The shots to the sweet spot went very smoothly. In addition to improving feel, the elastomer insert removes any vibration or clicky sound that cavity backs can produce. I had no problem producing a repeatable slight draw that launched effortlessly. I was able to produce a quick follow-through that resulted in a smooth flighted downball flight.

They are extremely smooth.0, and well worth your consideration if looking to upgrade or replace an existing set. Although you won’t get the longest distances with the i210 mid-sized clubhead, the i210 will give you the best feel, consistency, and performance. When my irons go out, I might have to make a decision.

Ping I500 Irons Design

Ping’s G700 irons and the i500 have many similarities, mainly due to its design and appearance.

There’s a beautiful forged muscleback look to it courtesy of the offset which gives it a blade-like shape, but the club head is hollow in nature.

The face of the Ping i500s is thin and crafted from C300 maraging steel, which flexes on impact up five times more than versions in previous ranges of Ping irons. Ping describes this combination as “metalwood-like performance” and it is combined with the 17-4 stainless metal body.

The comination helps produce improved ball speed and subsequently distance, all without affecting the forgiveness offered.

The geometry of the muscleback has been designed to increase the trajectory of ball flight, and is has improved it dramatically to help extract more distance.

Ping have used a Hydro. Pearl Chrome 2.0 was used to finish the irons. It provides distance control and consistency, especially in the rough.

Verdict on Ping I500 Irons

The i500 irons are classic in muscleback design and sexy. They will appeal to golfers who want to be sexy on the green. However, they come with a high price.

But these irons aren’t just about looks. Ping has managed to increase the range’s distance by a lot, so that the club selection can be one more than other models.

Ping i500s offer a more enjoyable experience than playing blades. Although they have a lot of forgiveness, their best feature is their impressive range.
