Performance

The best thing about PING irons is the ease with which they can be used. So when they claim that the G710 has the longest life and is the most flexible, it’s a big deal. Thanks to the high density of tungsten in the toe and heel, the MOI in G710 irons is 5% better than G700 irons.

I experienced the exact same results in my G710 testing: I observed long shots landing within a tight circle. These irons have plenty of ball speed, launch easily, and carry adequate spin to hold a green. G710 irons offer a better alternative to the dreaded distance irons. While I did not lose my landing angle, I bought a club to distance.

The 4-iron impressed me more than any other club. Because I’m a low-launching player, it is difficult to achieve enough consistency and distance with long irons. The G710 4I was able to get the ball into a manageable window and carry a lot. It also landed softly.

PING now offers the G710 a slew of shaft options, which has been their standard. The new PING Alta Distanza is their lightest (43 grams), highest launching iron shaft yet. There are also two proprietary shafts from PING, True Temper and Nippon.

Finally, every set of PING G710 irons comes with Arccos Caddie Smart Grips. You can easily track every shot with the built-in sensor in each grip. PING provides one-year free Arccos Caddie to all customers. You can also order eight more Arccos sensors if you purchase six irons or more. This allows you to capture data for every club you have in your bag.

Ping’s G710 is a new generation of irons that boasts a 5% increase in MOI over the G700. These irons include a plasma-welded, maraging steel face, and machined surface and grooves. Arcoss Smart Grips also come standard.

Verdict: Ping G710 Iron

These G710s, which are high-handicap models of irons with high handicaps, look amazing. Our favorite features are the fast construction and hollow body, which is a rare design option in this segment.

The G710 was the second most effective iron to protect carry distance drop-off in our Best 2021 High Handicap Iron Test. As the black finish conceals the actual size, we also love the way the head inspires confidence behind it.

Even though the G710’s loft is lower than some, we can expect it to provide the pro with the longest carrying distances. However, distances are unlikely to edge out at normal speeds as we’ve seen. Arccos shot-tracking devices are also included in the G710 grip. Ping will also use your stats for future club designs. Very clever stuff.

Irons Ping G710 Review and Photos: Clubtest2020

ClubTest 2020’s 2nd installment was conducted to test and evaluate 57 brand new iron models. Here are the Ping G710 results.

Price: $175/iron (190 graphite). BUY NOW. Set: 4-PW. UW. SW. Our Take: The generous tungsten weights placed in the toe and heel of the 17-4 stainless steel body provide a lot of forgiveness. Hollow-body design is paired with a maraging steel face to take ball speed to another level.

ClubTester’s 12-hdcp: The dark finish hides some of our beef. It’s hard to look down at an iron this good.

Robot’s perspective: A very forgiving iron.

G710 irons make a great game improvement tool. With a black Hydropearl finish, they have a distinctive look that will fill you with confidence when you are looking at your iron shots. They offer a great deal of length and ball speed off the face and the G710s are super easy to hit The Ping G710 irons are also exceptional when it comes to forgiveness . These irons have a low center of gravity to help propel the ball higher.

These irons have a lot to offer in the way of technology. You can maximize your course performance with these irons because they have a flexible thickness, high lofts, large sweet spots, and strong lofts. It’s not just cosmetic, it is designed to decrease glare from the club’s face. The feel and sound are both exemplary, but we’d expect nothing less from a Ping iron set.
