Ping’s G2 was the favorite 2005 car. The Ping G5 has replaced it. Ping, however, hasn’t progressed at the same rate as some other brands.
You don’t have to be concerned if the Ping G5 isn’t your first purchase. This model remains solid, with some subtle improvements. As the joint longest hitting driver in our test you have to say it is powerful and forgiving, and the half-moon alignment aid is great.
2007 Review. We understand what you are saying. “How could a club that costs PS239 be awarded our Best Driver Award for PS199?” Ping suggests that the retail price for this golf club should be PS239. However, many shops can sell it for PS199. The Ping G5 is included in this group.
PS200 may be the highest you will spend on a car driver. But there are some amazing clubs available – we like this pick. The titanium head is lightweight and stable, making the familiar comforting tinking sound that we love.
