Is it all cheaply produced in China, or is there a specific brand or store that offers a superior/nicer/more lasting selection? Any made anywhere else than China.

QVC has the Bethelehem Lights candles. They operate by batteries either on a sensor, steady on, or a timer. It is so convenient to use the timer. You turn them on at the time you want them to come on every day (I have 5:15 p.m.) and then they stay on for eight hours. They will then come on their own every day and continue to work for an additional eight hours each day. They come in antique brass, regular brass or brushed nickel. The height can be adjusted according to the window’s sash.
Because I had two sets, I was able to get them for $40.00 for four during Christmas 2010 (they were very cheap at that time). My batteries last year lasted two weeks and I put them in on Sunday after Thanksgiving. I think it is three AAA batteries. It’s very bright.
Also, the set I bought from Walgrens was $10.00 per 4 and had the same battery, timer, and setup, but they only lasted 6 hours. QVC had the best ones. They are taller so they lasted longer.
