Ping2021 Anser 4 Putter

+ Premium look matches the performance – Soft feel doesn’t work as well with soft golf balls Ping’s most recent putter range are literally just called the 2021 putters, so bear that in mind with the other 2021 putters in the list.

This range of Ping putters is quite impressive, even though the name may seem a bit trite. There are twelve models to choose from, and the Anser 4 makes a great choice for anyone with an extremely arced putting stroke who would rather use a blade.

Even though it is relatively small in size, the white solid line that runs back to the head makes for an excellent sightline. Our eye also liked the short slant of the hosel.

It’s also extremely comfortable to touch the face and feels great on any length of putt.

It is a shame Ping have removed the adjustable element that was available in its Heppler range, but the Anser 4 is a pretty complete package to headline the 2021 range.

Ping 2021 Putter

+ A new, clear sightline makes it easy to line up your putts. – The shape takes some getting used to. Another excellent model from the Ping 2021 range is the Fetch. This mallet putter is perfect for anyone who wants more forgiveness for off center strikes or a much more stable putter.

As you can see, the hole in the bottom of this putter is where it gets the name Fetch, and this hole can be used to fetch the ball from off the ground, rather than having to bend down to pick it up.

It’s an integral part of the Fetch’s design as well as a valuable tool. See below the Heppler Fetch Model. As this can be seen, it is clearly visible at address. Ping took out the feature for their 2021 model to conserve weight and increase its overall MOI.

This has created an altogether more appealing look from address as well as a more stable putter. Ping have added an excellent sight line at the top to help with aiming and striking the ball too and, for us, it’s the stand out mallet in the 2021 range.

Ping Heppler Ketsch Putter

+ Great for alignment, any stroke. It’s not necessarily the most affordable putter. The only Heppler family member that features three alignment lines to help the ball frame. This is far better than the Vault2.0 Ketsch, which has a half-steel and half-aluminum construction. You can use this mallet to make straight or slight arc strokes. If you prefer this look it is an excellent choice.

Ping 2021 Tyne 5 Putter

+ The iconic, tour-proven Tyne shape is hard to distinguish from the other Tyne models. We are currently reviewing the Ping 2021 range, which includes the Tyne, the most popular of all the Ping putters.

This putter works well if you do not like a small blade head and want something that can support an arced putting stroke.

Tyne’s heel has a tungsten weight while the steel one is in the toe. These toeweights give Tyne some toe-weighting.

You can also use the Tyne fang to guide you in lining up your ball on the green. This provides an excellent cue at address and is much more accurate than a regular blade. If stability is important to you, this putter will be a good choice. It also has strong arcs in your putting stroke.

Ping Sigma 2, Anser Putter

+ This model is stunning and will inspire. – The Anser was 50 years old in 2016, so it’s important to keep your strokes tidy. The traditional heel-toe ballast is featured in this model, and it’s so simple on the eyes, that it’s always an absolute delight. The alignment line sees you set up to the ball easily and, while it might not boast huge forgiveness, that’s not really why you’d be giving this a go.

You can look good!

As one would expect from any PING putter collection, the 2021 series includes three timeless Anser models. The remainder of the series includes three to five middle mallets. The Tyne 4 (shown here) is the only remaining non-blade shape from the Heppler collections. The Fetch may sound familiar, but the 2021 version has a cover over the unique ball retrieving cutout which gives it a vastly different look.

All 2021 series putters have a black finish with a clear white alignment line. This gives them a uniform look at the address. An insert with a small strip of red along the bottom edges really sets off the black faces. This accent continues on the distinctive soles worn by the putters. The bag’s PING headcovers have a high-quality design and are visually attractive.

What Is It About?

The new feature and main piece of tech with the new range is a Dual-Durometer insert, which combines a softer front layer of Pebax and a back layer which is made of a firmer material.

Ping say this gives you a soft feel on short putts and ensures distance control on longer putts. To aid in roll and strike consistency, the Dual-Durometer faces have a lower profile face with more uniform grooves.

The putters were also made a lot more tolerant by optimising the CG and increasing MOI due to varying tungsten-aluminum densities. These weights are visible in the toe and heel of the face on the Anser model.

Just like drivers, the closer the distance between these three tungsten weighings are the better for balance and stability during impact and stroke. It aids in face manipulation and poor strikes.

There are 11 new models in the the new range that fall into three different categories: Blade (Anser, Anser 2, Anser 4), Mid Mallet (Kushin 4, DS 72, CA 70, Tyne 4) and Mallet (Fetch, Tyne C, Oslo H, Harwood).

There are three length options for each putter: 33 inch, 34 inch and 35 inches. An adjustable shaft is also available at an additional PS50. For more details on the shafts, see my Ping Heppler Review. The classic PP58 grip, used by Tiger Woods, can be found in a range of weights and thicknesses.

Are Ping Heppler Putters Good?

The finishes are well done and give these putters a very high end look. Additionally, on the Anser 2, I found that the copper top line held all of my focus and led to some very good results. The head shapes found in this line are familiar to all PING enthusiasts, with two exceptions. Sep 16, 2020

Which Ping Putters Cost A Great Deal?

PING has made the 69BC model and the 69BC Croquet the two most desired putters. The shaft angle on the 69BC Croquet’s 69BC Croquet model is quite different. Its shaft curves forwards and downwards, while the former’s goes straight down. A 69BC usually sells for about $750, or $850.
