You can’t deny it, I’m a knife-knitter. I have a large collection of pocket knives, and I carry one pretty much every day. They are my favorite pocket knives.
Although my knife collection may seem extensive, it is not overwhelming. My knife collection can range from 20 to 30 knives at any time. I may have some that I’ve been using for many years and others that I bought new. A lot of knives I own filter through storage. Some only see daylight a few times each year.
Through a lot of trial and error I have found the knives that I truly love. I keep them on my nightstand but they always end up in my pockets.
They are, by definition, all my favorites pocket knives. These knives are all small enough to be great for everyday carry. A few of them are a little larger, and some cost just a few bucks. While some are quite affordable, others can run you a lot.
At the risk of omitting some excellent knives, I will venture to claim that these pocket knives are among the most affordable.
Types Of Pocket Knives
EDC pocket knives: An EDC pouch knife is a simple, single-blade option to a multitool. This classic design is robust and versatile, much like a multitool. This design often uses a clip, drop, or tanto point with either a straight edge or a half-straight and half-serrated blade to give the most efficient performance possible for common everyday tasks.
Outdoorsman’s knives: For many common jobs, outdoormen depend on their knives. An assortment of hunting knives and survival knives are included in the outdoorsman’s kit. Each knife has its own special abilities. Hunter knives can be used to field dress game, and often have finer clip-point blades. Survival knives tend to be tougher and more versatile and often employ a slightly wider variety of blade patterns, such as drop point, clip point, and tanto shapes.
Rescue knife: This is the rescue knife of choice. The design of this knife is durable and tough like the tactical EDC counterpart, but it relies on completely different features. Many rescue knives have a sheepsfoot blade or another blunt-tip tip pattern to help in cutting delicate materials such as clothing and other material close to bones.
